Condolences

Condolence From: Betty Hegedus (Oleksyn)
Condolence: I was very sorry to hear about the loss of Penny. Penny was such a sweet and kind hearted person. Always with a big smile on her face. I will always remember our gatherings when I went with my Mom and Dad to visit at Uncle Roman and Auntie Pat's house or when all of you came to visit at the farm. It was always a good time.

I have some good pictures of myself and the girls and a bunch of cats.

I had no idea that Penny was battling cancer and was hoping to see her at the Oleksyn reunion. May she rest in peace and to the family of Penny you will have some tough times ahead but lean on those in time of need. Cherish the beautiful memories. I leave you with a poem about our Angels in heaven.

Angel Pennies
Author Unknown

I found a penny today
Just lying on the ground,
But it’s not just a penny
This little coin I’ve found.
Found pennies come from heaven
That’s what I’ve been told.
It’s been known that when an Angel misses you
They toss a penny down,
Sometimes just to cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown.
So don’t pass by that penny
When you’re feeling blue,
It may be a penny from heaven
That your Angel Penny tossed to you.

Condolence From: Sheldon Oleksyn
Condolence: Dear Oleksyn-Regehr Families. The thoughts and prayers of the Oleksyn's from Tisdale are with you right now. We understand what it's like to lose a sibling/child at a young age from cancer. It is not an easy path you are on right now and we have known your pain.

Penny was one of the most gentle, caring and generous relatives we were privileged to meet. There is lots of room for people like Penny in the Kingdom of God. She was pure of heart and meek in the best sense of the word. She fought bravely and showed courage beyond measure. It was a long battle for her and now thankfully rests in peace.

Your journey, however, it still in progress and we wish you all the love and support you need in the months ahead. We are willing to help and to visit. Ask Penny for help with this too. Our loved ones are closer than we think. Be patient with yourselves as you mourn and come to terms with this terrible loss. We love all of you and pray for your peace.

Sincerely,

Edna, Sheldon, Colin & Roma (Dave and Dean) Oleksyn
